Last weekend we once again joined forces with the brilliant Aaron and his team at The Newton Arms to bring you a FREE Fireworks and Family Fun event.
The event, which was well attended by many local residents raised over £300 for those affected by brain injuries.
This year’s annual fireworks display was also a celebration of a strong partnership between The Newton and Headway, that has raised over £2,600 in the past few months.
Sam Ashcroft, Network Coordinator for Headway Blackpool said: “The event this year was a huge success, with so many of the local community coming out to enjoy the free display. Thank you so much to Aaron and his wonderful team at The Newton for hosting. We are hopeful this could turn into an annual event for the local community.”
On the day visitors were be able to join-in with sand art, hair braiding and sample some tasty treats from the cake stall, not to mention a spectacular fireworks display!
As well as Aaron’s fantastic team we must also say a huge thank you to Blackpool & Fylde’s Police Cadets who helped marshal on the night, ensuring everyone’s safety. Thanks also to Sand Art With Evonne and Hair Braiding with Ella and the amazing fireworks curtesy of The Fireworks Shop.
