Help shape the future of Headway Blackpool Wyre & Fylde.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees as Committee Members.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills, experience and passion to support a local charity that has been improving the lives of people living with acquired brain injury, along with their families and carers, across Blackpool, Wyre and the Fylde Coast for almost 20 years.
Whether you have experience in business, finance, healthcare, marketing, fundraising, education, HR, legal services, or simply a desire to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Why become a Committee Member?
Serving as a Trustee is a rewarding way to give back to your local community while helping shape the future of an organisation that changes lives.
You’ll work alongside a friendly and committed Board, bringing your ideas, experience and enthusiasm to help ensure the charity continues to grow, develop and support more local people affected by brain injury.
No previous trustee experience is necessary—we provide a full induction, training and ongoing support.

Responsibilities include:

- Can think strategically and work collaboratively.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
- Are committed to the values and aims of Headway Blackpool Wyre & Fylde.
- Can dedicate a small amount of time each month to help make a lasting difference.
We particularly welcome people with experience in finance, governance, healthcare, legal services, HR, fundraising, communications, marketing, business development or lived experience of brain injury, but enthusiasm and commitment are just as important.
Time commitment
This voluntary role typically involves:
- Attending one monthly Board meeting (approximately 2 hours).
- Reading papers in advance of meetings.
- Occasional attendance at charity events, fundraising activities or networking opportunities.
