Sam Ashcroft our hardworking Network Coordinator has won in the Not for Profit category at the prestigious Enterprise Vision Awards. Sam was nominated for all the amazing work she does for us at Headway Blackpool.
Sam fought off stiff competition from other charities, many of whom where national organisations, to bring home the Award for Blackpool.
Samantha was nominated due to her passion and energy for the charity and the local people she supports. Judges of the award noted that Samantha; ‘lives and breaths’ the charity work she does, she is always working hard to improve the quality of life of people living with a brain injury.
The Enterprise Vision Awards celebrate the successes and achievements of outstanding female entrepreneurs. The EVAS are the UK’s largest business awards dedicated solely to women. The awards distinguish those women who are leading the way in their industries. The Awards event took place at Blackpool’s iconic Winter Gardens on Friday 29thSeptember.
Samantha said: “I was delighted to even be nominated for such a prestigious award, I never dreamed I’d actually win it! My work is deeply personal to me and I continuously strive to get the very best for the people the charity supports.
“I hope this award will help us spread the word even further that if you are living with a brain injury, there is support out there for you.”
